On 25th June, 2011, the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Julong Hope Elementary School’s completion was held in Taiping Town, Huili County, Liangshan Prefecture of Sichuan Province. And this school was constructed with Julong Group’s donation of RMB 600,000. Mr. Yang Xuedong, Julong Group’s Vice President and Chen Yanyun，Deputy Secretary General of China Youth Development Foundation, attended the ceremony, which signified that Julong Group has reached a new level in the aspect of corporate social responsibility. During the ceremony, Vice President Yang Xuedong gave school supplies to the students as gifts; Pan Renxu, Deputy Director of Huili County People's Congress of China, awarded Julong Group’s President Yang Xuejiang the appointment letter to be the “Honorary President of Taiping Julong Hope Elementary School”. The teachers and students vow solemnly and festively sang and danced to express their gratitude and joy inside.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Yang Xuedong said: As a national enterprise, Julong Group can’t do without the support and expectation of the nation and people. The reason why we choose “Donating Money for Education” as our major activity to fulfill our social responsibility is that children are the future of both our motherland and the nation. In the same way, Julong Group is like the child of our nation, which grows up on the watch of the people. Though we seem to be not mature enough facing with strong competitors home and abroad, we believe that as long as we make efforts on it, we will achieve success. Today, we share Julong’s corporate spirit of hard struggle with you all and hope that every one of you could set up a lofty goal from childhood, study hard, develop comprehensively so that you can become one of the pillars of society, make contribution to the country and never let the society down.

Julong Hope Elementary School of Taiping Town was founded in early 1960s, primitively named as Shuangma Elementary School of Taiping Town. It is a village- leveled elementary school serving the administrative village Shuangma of Taiping Town with a total population of 2132, 40% of which are minorities. There are 6 teaching classes and 1 preschool in this school with 180 students and 7 teaching and administrative staff. The Huili Earthquake 8.30 has destroyed 600 square meters of the school seriously, which was ranked D-level Dangerous House by the authoritative department. Thanks to the application of County Committee the Communist Youth League and Education Bureau and the help of China Youth Development Foundation, Julong Group donated RMB 600,000 in May, 2008. Together with the RMB 140,783 matched by the local government, the new school was constructed. And this new school occupies 1800 square meters with 539.38 square meters of building area and can accommodate 200 students.
