Yet for Tianjin Julong Group, the leading palm oil manufacturer and a Top 500 private enterprise in China, the festival this year also contributed to a perfect connection between the group and more than 20 foreign visitors.

     Jointly held by Tianjin Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs, Tianjin Summer Davos Forum Preparatory Office and Tianjin sub-site of “people.com.cn”, the Second Session of Photo Contest for “Tianjin in My Eyes” starting in June came to Julong Group on September 6 just before Mid-Autumn Festival. With the theme of “present a gift to Davos by photographing the industrial development in Tianjin” and as a warm-up activity for 2014 Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin, the photo contest has attracted hundreds of foreigners working in Tianjin who want to present photos recording the vitality and progress of Tianjin, especially Tianjin Binhai New Area in their eyes.

The visiting group first came to Tianjin Longwit Oils and Grains Industrial Co., Ltd., the subsidiary company of Julong Group located in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. There they visited the phase Ⅳ production workshop and the “edible oil green production experience hall”, where they learned about the whole process of palm oil production from oil palm cultivation to palm oil filling.      The visitors to Julong were foreign experts working in Binhai School of Foreign Affairs of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Tianjin FESCO Talent Training School and Tianjin Foresight Educational Consulting Co., Ltd., etc, whose nationalities included American, Polish, Korean and Russian, etc.

     The “edible oil green production experience hall” in Julong Group’s North China Production Base offered the foreign visitors a great chance to acquire knowledge of the whole industrial chain of palm oil production including seed selection, fruit picking, palm cultivation, palm oil milling, refining, fractionation and sterile filling. Through the commentator’s introduction, the visitors were also amazed by the wide and different use of palm oil all over the world.
