Julong News (Correspondent: Gao Chunguang) On Jan 1st, The Award Ceremony of 2013 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering ASEAN & Successful ASEAN Enterprises Entering China was held in Beijing. The other theme of the conference was 2014 China-ASEAN Celebrating New Year & Enhancing Cooperation activities. Julong Group won “2013 Top 10 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering into ASEAN”, and Chairman Yang Xuejiang won “2013 Outstanding Chinese Entrepreneurs Entering into ASEAN” for the second time. Vice chairman Yu Ping and vice secretary general Chen Zhengrong from CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), executive director Xu Ningning from China-ASEAN Business Council, attended the ceremony. The administrative general manager Sun Weijun from Julong Group received the award as the representative. It was the second year in a row that Julong Group was awarded the prizes for its outstanding contributions on ASEAN social and economic development. 
This selection aimed at giving full play to China-ASEAN Business Council as a platform for China-ASEAN dialogue, furthering exchanges and cooperation in China-ASEAN industry and commerce, providing each other broader platform and new opportunities in CAFTA (China-ASEAN Free Trade Area). The activity was supported by many institutions such as embassies of ASEAN countries in China, related embassies of China in ASEAN countries and some China-ASEAN associations. On the principle of fairness, impartiality, openness and commonweal, altogether 20 successful enterprises and 10 outstanding entrepreneurs were selected. 

     Xu Ningning, executive director of China-ASEAN Business Council, indicated that in recent years, the increasingly close economic relation between China and ASEAN has boosted the economic activities. A new industrial line has been gradually formed in CAFTA while new changes have been taking place in the cooperation both within the industry and between industries. In the future, the upgraded CAFTA will further open goods and service trade market and investment market and enhance the interconnection on China-ASEAN economy and trade collaboration, which will be conductive to the stability and economic integration of East Asia. As the friendly neighbors and important economic and trade partners, the closer cooperation between China and ASEAN benefits not only the common growth but also the stability and economic integration of East Asia. In the next year, their cooperation should focus on pragmatic innovation, depth and breadth, and mutual benefits.

     So far, CAFTA is the largest free trade zone in the world, and China is the largest trade partner of ASEAN while ASEAN is the third largest of China. From 2002 to 2012, China-ASEAN bilateral trade volume is with the growth rate of 23.6%, and now reaches 400 billion US dollars; the bilateral investment volume accumulatively reaches 100 billion US dollars, with the growth of 3.4 times.

     Nearly 300 people, including officials of embassies of ASEAN countries in China, representatives of famous enterprises and chamber of commerce from China and ASEAN and famous research scholars of ASEAN, attended the fraternity.
